Increasing volumes of Texas crude

Texas crude oil has increased due to expanding oil exploration activities in the Eagle Ford Shale and Permian Basin, with more pipeline construction underway.

Expanding infrastructure projected growth

In 2019, the Port exported a record volume of 278 million barrels of crude oil, a 63-percent increase over 2018. Projections indicate that exports could increase to 4.5M barrels per day by 2030, a growth of more than 1600%. In 2020, the Port of Corpus Christi usurped the Port of Houston as the top crude export port in the U.S.

Respond to increasing vessel size

Global customers are using larger vessels to increase efficiency and lower costs. We must meet these needs to remain competitive.
